Desperate to give the steadily shrinking Battlefield 2042 player base a boost, EA might have decided to add the title to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup, and it will not feel lonely there as FIFA 22 is coming too! A "Game Pass" tag for Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 has recently been spotted by some people in Europe on the Xbox Store listings. Though promptly removed, the label can indicate that the two titles are soon to be added to the EA Play library and be offered to the subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass service. If Twitter leaks are to be trusted, both games might become available on EA Play/Xbox Game Pass as early as the start of May 2022.
Battlefield 2042 has been having a rather difficult time since its bumpy debut. To make things worse, Season 1 post-launch DLC is not coming out until this summer. The players' primary issues with the game concern a slew of technical flaws and glitches and a series of poor design choices. To be fair, the developer has been working hard to make enhancements and add new features (a better scoreboard and voice chat) to make the player's experience smoother and more enjoyable. Presently, the game feels more polished and agreeable.
EA is likely expecting that an Xbox Game Pass rollout will help the game gain more traction before the arrival of Season 1 content scheduled for some time in late May or early June.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is Xbox's most comprehensive membership service, costing $15 per month. The subscription bundle comes with over a hundred PC, console, and mobile games, member discounts and offers, cloud gaming, and free EA Play.
