Spotify Gears Up for ‘Superpremium’ Tier with Immersive Music Experience

Reports have emerged showing that Spotify, the world giant in music streaming, isn’t just resting on its laurels. Sources have revealed that it's preparing to put forward an upgraded, more upscale service tier known as the ‘Superpremium’ package, priced at a monthly subscription of $19.99. This bigger, better package is expected to feature an enhanced collection of immersive features, including superior lossless audio and advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to create more sophisticated playlists.

Findings in Spotify's app code by Chris Messina, an enthusiastic tech digger, show that the Superpremium service now sports an eye-catching logo and an expanded set of features. In a significant step away from the standard 24-bit lossless audio that was previously expected, the tech conglomerate adds value with its advanced AI playlist generator and mixing tools, additional hours of audiobook consumption, and a unique package known as the ‘Your Sound Capsule.’

The AI playlist function, discovered earlier by Messina, has been developed to take the listener experience to another level, allowing each user to create personalized playlists using prompts. Also, the Superpremium subscribers are expected to enjoy the option of filtering their music collection based on mood, activity, or genre. Messina has spotted additional filtering options like beats per minute and vibe. Moreover, he mentioned that the Superpremium service would be offering 20-30 hours of audiobooks, more than the 15 free hours provided with the current Spotify Premium subscription.

A look at the new additions also reveals the presence of 'Soundcheck,' a feature that allows you to learn about your listening patterns, offering an opportunity to discover what mix of sounds resonates with you uniquely. According to Messina, this feature has been rebranded as 'Your Sound Capsule' in the latest version of the app. He speculates that this could be tied to Spotify's earlier release, the 'playlist in a bottle' music experience. Lastly, the presence of a fascinating feature known as 'Highlights' was discovered, seeming to offer Last.fm-like listening stats.

In response to these revelations, Spotify preferred to keep an air of mystery about their latest venture. They only iterated on their consistent efforts to improve their product offering while avoiding commenting on the speculated features. Therefore, music lovers and Spotify users worldwide will have to wait with bated breath for the official launch of this enhanced, curated, and potentially game-changing Superpremium service!
