Downloading and installing a new game on your Xbox while simultaneously playing another can typically be a rather sluggish undertaking. However, there's good news on the horizon for players seeking more efficiency.
Participants in the Xbox Insider program have received an update that significantly enhances the speed of background installations while another game is active. One of the insiders, known by the username Idle Sloth, has reported on social media platform X that their previous download speeds of "40-80 Mbps" during gameplay have increased to "380 Mbps" with this update, approaching their usual non-gaming download speed of "480 Mbps."
The general release date for this improved feature has not yet been announced. However, based on usual timelines and barring any unforeseen complications, it might become available to all users within approximately two months.
